Austin Le Austin Le

A brief introduction to me.

Hey yooooo! My name is Austin! I am the founder and sole owner of Austin’s Fantasy Factorum. This is a venture I started back in fall of 2024, when I had just moved to Ohio from Indiana to be with my fiancé, Molly.

I was in the middle of going to college online, starting a new job, and in a state where I virtually knew no one other then my fiancé, her son, and her family. I missed my D&D group from Indiana, and I didn’t care much for my new job. Soon enough, I did make one friend, his name is Ziah. Solid dude. I had him over for dinner one evening, we got to talking about hobbies. I told him about how when I was but a wee lad, I would collect Warhammer figures (they were still super expensive back in the early 2000s). I went on at length about since becoming an adult, I still could not afford the hobby, because adult hood and bills. I reminisced about how I wish I had a 3D printer so that I may simply print the models I wanted.

Ziah had a strange look on his face and offered me his old Ender 3 for free. Not a v2 or a v3, THE Ender 3 OG. I was excited, I accepted and about a week later, here comes Ziah (solid dude), with the Ender printer. He set it up for me as I practically danced on my toes, taught me how to level, showed me the basics.

After the initial test print was completed, he went home and I wasted no time in setting this Ender 3 to print miniatures. I was convinced, that I could in fact, print high quality miniatures (I read 1 reddit thread that said I could), and well…..high was me…..and quality was not my first miniature. I call him, the Blue Knight of the bathroom counter.

The ender 3 died pretty soon after, but not until I printed about 100 tiny blue men. Most of those have been lost since then. I then, bought my Bambu P1S AND Elegoo Mars 4 at the same time, because I felt like it.

I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get my first resin printer to work. I spent 6 weeks, print failure after print failure dialing it in, until finally, SUCESS.

My ADHD went haywire, I hyper focused on this hobby and relentlessly threw entire pay checks at paint, resin, premium stls, more resin, more paint, yet ANOTHER printer (this one an Elegoo Saturn 4).

Soon, I had found myself with more miniatures then i knew what to do with. So I started selling them. This became profitable, so I have since then made it into a business. My business, my joy, and hobby.

Welcome, adventurers, to my wonderful Factorum.
