Once a blossoming creation of Renmaeth who acted as a sentinel for the ancient Tryamin Forest, the Thornmother is now a corrupted servant of evil, enthralled by the god of pestilence and disease, Idinhelieth. When the servant of the dark divine, the nefarious Duke Conrad Elstein, retreated into Tryamin Forest after his pursuit across Tharador, The Thornmother was one of the first creatures of the woods he corrupted in a bid to protect his latest sanctuary. Yet even in defeat, the poison that seeped into her roots has not seen reprieve, and the ancient creature has been entirely lulled by the foul workings of the dark divine.
Whilst the local druids have made several attempts to heal The Thornmother and send the poison reeling, they have been unsuccessful, resulting in injury or death to all who have tried. Now they turn to outside help, seeking the expertise of monster hunters in the WEHL to distract and restrain the creature, while their healers try to bring her back from the heart of darkness. Should all else fail, they will be left with the only remaining choice: to slay the ancient creature of the Fey.
