Xira Elineri – Assassin of the Waxing Moon

from $3.00

Through the swamps of Lo Fuin, the Glanbelite Drow have had rangers stationed for centuries, keeping watch against foreign invaders and other threats to their presence beneath the swamps. For over a century, Xira was one of these rangers, a silent killer stalking the reeds and loosing arrows unseen from the thickets of the swamp. For centuries Xira and those like her had kept Hirika safe from the prying eyes of outsiders that might threaten the sanctuary of their home, especially meddling interlopers in the stone fortress of Zander’s Peril.

Though in recent years, the threats to Drow society have shifted, with internal conflict a more pressing threat to the downfall of their people than any external factors. The Drow of Iriksha, worshippers of the foetid divine Irinax, have begun a crusade against their kin, indiscriminately slaughtering and torturing any who would not bow to their ways. In response, many of the rangers from the surface have taken it upon themselves to return to the depths below, reintegrating into Glanbelite society and adapting their skills to become silent and invisible weapons for their people, becoming Assassins of the Moon.

Xira is one of dozens of rangers who undertook this quest for herself. Her blades thirst for the blood of the heretics, and only when they are soaked and dripping might they be sated. In the meantime, her quest is as it was before, though now charged with the additional task of being ready to return home at a moment’s notice should any troubles befall them.
