Zarinda is an ancient being that has served the Eldraeth for aeons. Empires have fallen at her feet, and kings have kissed the ground she walks on. Yet none have earned her mercy, for inevitably Eldraeth comes to claim them, devouring their world whole. Now the Eldraeth has woken her from a thousand year slumber, to enact its will in a new world, ripe, young and teeming with life. It has chosen an agent of supple mind from another world, and Zarinda is to be its guide in bringing about the emulsification of this new land.
Vaezirak is her charge, a deluded creature whose free will hangs by a thread, his mind filled with whispers of the Eldraeth, believing himself to be some form of deity. The local populace has also fallen into this belief, and Zarinda must do her best to take their form and follow suit, portraying herself as one of his disciples. Yet she watches carefully, ensuring no harm comes to him before the proliferation of the Eldraeth has completely taken hold in this new land.
